Frequently Asked Questions

How to install Timber Actually floating shelves?

To minimise costs to you, our floating shelves are designed for easy DIY installation. Please click here to download the installation guide, which includes our recommended method and the tools you will need.

Should you require professional assistance, you may wish to refer to your renovation contractor or hire a handyman. We do not provide installation services.

How much does it cost to customise floating shelves?

The preset dimensions of the Timber Actually floating shelves have been optimised based on the load capacity of their brackets. This means that we do not recommend altering the depth or length of these shelves.

However, should you require a customised set of shelves, you may wish to consider our custom fabrication service.

Custom Fabrication Notes:

(1) Minimum order quantity is 10 pieces per wood type per size.

(2) As all our products are exclusively made from salvaged Singapore wood, availability is subject to material supply.

(3) As mentioned, our preset shelves have already been optimised for the brackets used. Should you require alternative sizes and/ or load capacities, other installation methods may be recommended.

Should you wish to submit an enquiry, please email us with the dimensions, wood type and quantity you need, here. Our team will contact you with more specific guidance on expected lead time and quote based on the details of your project.

How much weight can your floating shelves hold?

Our floating shelves are rated for 7.5kgs load per bracket, and there are 2 brackets per shelf, giving a total of 15kgs load capacity.

Each shelf takes up about 5kg of weight on its own depending on the specific size selected, leaving approximately 10kg of storage capacity.

Please ensure that the shelf load is evenly distributed. Overloading your support points can lead to sagging shelves and collapse. Shelves should be installed out of reach of young children.

What is your refund policy?

All products sold are non-refundable for non-defect reasons.
