Pine Wood Planks (Customizable)
Pinewood is medium-weight and relatively soft. Its strength and elasticity are good. As with other coniferous woods, the properties of the wood depend upon the density of the annual growth rings: The higher the proportion of summerwood, the heavier and harder the wood.
The heartwood has good natural durability except where it is in direct contact with earth or moisture. It has a high natural moisture content, which can lead to a blue staining of the wood through fungal infection. The coloring only affects the appearance, not the physical properties of the wood.
The Pine is suitable to be used as your wooden wall shelving. If you are doing your own woodworking DIY, you can work with the Pine as it is softer as compared to other medium hardwood.

Differences between finishing
Planed: For planed finish, the planks are run through the planer on both sides to get an even thickness across the length. You can expect some "splinters", surface cracks, slight warping, rough surface, edges that are not square on the planks.
Sanded smooth: The planks will be sanded smooth and run through the jointer for squareness. The planks are sanded to a 320 grit finish.
Oil finish: The planks will undergo smoothing through sanding, followed by the application of a premium oil to preserve the inherent charm and beauty of the natural wood surfaces.
Lead time: 7-10 working days
Disclaimer: As each tree log is unique despite being of the same species, there may be variations in colour, tones and grain on each individual piece or among the products. Please be advised that exchanges are not allowed due to the natural variations in colour.
